Vegan YouTubers
Hello Vegan Buddies!
How’s your vegan journey going? This week, mine is feeling like smooth sailing and I love that I’m at that point. For those of you that aren’t having the easiest time, I thought I would share something that has helped me make my decision to become vegan and made my journey easier; YouTube.
I am basically a YouTube junky, and have been for a while. Other than it occupying astonishing amounts of my time, it’s offered an insight into the lives of other vegans...how they navigate meals, traveling, holidays, it’s all there to motivate you and make you feel less alone in this adventure.
Here are a few of my favorites, and hopefully they will lead you to even more!
This channel makes all your vegan junk food dreams come to life! Lauren Toyota is super feisty and super creative when it comes to creating the foods you might miss once you go vegan. She does this “Recipe?!” series where she makes up a meal from the things she already has in her kitchen and is 100% honest about how the food turns out, which is refreshing when you’re also trying new things. I’ve been inspired many times and I know you will be too.
This channel dabbles in a few things, not just plant based living. Hannah is quirky, open and pretty funny in her videos. Her passion for veganism, reading and life in general is contagious and it makes her channel a must subscribe if you need a pick me up.
If I’m going to talk about Hannah, I can’t write this blog without her sister, Ellen! In between clips of her beautiful family, she shares great vegan tips and recipes, all while capturing some astonishing Hawaiian scenery. She makes this vegan thing seem easy and puts you in the mindset that hey...maybe it is.
When I want to feel healthy, I always stop by this channel! She gives you quick meal ideas and has some amazing vegan fashion advice. The way her videos are shot is elegant, smooth and pretty addicting. Getting some free recipes from a professional vegan chef...what more could you ask for?!
This girl is a vegan after my own heart!! In addition to some day-to-day vlog style videos, she does one of my favorite vegan series, “#Veganized”. She goes to the restaurants and fast food places that we’re used to, finds vegan options, and reviews it the video. Now, I am not suggesting you eat at these restaurants all the time, but if you are traveling or out with family and don’t have another option, it’s good to know what foods you can get at a drive-thru.
I hope some of these channels help you get through the harder vegan days. If there’s some that you love that I haven’t spoken about, please let me know! I’ll add them to my Watch Later list and check them out during another YouTube binge!
Happy November!
