The vibe was good at New Jersey Veg Fest last weekend! The people were happy, the room was buzzing, and it was all like a glorious vegan flea market!

If you are thinking about attending this or any other Veg Fest in the future, here are some Fuddha Pros and Cons from our experience:

Pros

The Veg Fest really expanded our glossary of local eateries and vegan companies when visiting the New Jersey/New York area! We aren't quite as local as we'd like, but we love visiting this area and are fully prepared to stuff our faces when we come back!

Many of the vendors in the middle of the floor offered free samples (including Ketel One!), which was great, especially as bloggers that want to spread the word about each company.

Every booth we went to was in great spirits and happy to answer all questions about their products and organizations.

Cons

There were a bunch of food vendors and trucks around the perimeter of the venue, which was great! The only downside we found to this was, almost all of them were selling full meal options instead of samples! if we wanted to actually get an opinion on all of their food options, we don't know who would tap out first, our stomachs or our wallets! Keep this in mind when you come, you'll need some extra cash. No need to worry Fuddhas, we'll be catching up with all those vendors we couldn't try last weekend, because they were cooking up some good looking food!

Although the place buzzed with positive vegan energy, it was pretty busy when we arrived, and this meant we didn't have much luck finding seating once we finally decided on a meal.

Little Fuddha Tip: I don't know the set up at every Veg Fest, but here, if you made sure to catch the speakers, there was plenty of seating and an opportunity to learn about issues important to the vegan community. Rest your feet and get WOKE!

Thanks for the great talks T. Colin Campbell, Joshua Jatcher, Gene Baur, and Kathy Stevens!

HERE ARE THE PRODUCTS WE COULDN'T LEAVE WITHOUT

Check out their sites and see why we couldn't pass them by:

and a smarties because...it was free, why not!

Shoutout to all of these companies. We had a great time and we can't wait to see (& taste) more! Head over to our Facebook Page to find contact info for these vendors!!
